Concord is the only town in this cluster with a commuter rail station, which matters a lot depending on where you work. That single piece of infrastructure separates it from Carlisle, Bedford, Lincoln.
Concord and Carlisle don't have a ton happening, especially compared to Lexington. Some people specifically want that quiet, but go in eyes open. You'll drive to Lexington or Bedford for most weeknight stuff.
Concord and Carlisle houses are about 50% cheaper per square foot than Lexington with much bigger yards. The price-per-acre math is the underrated reason people end up here instead.
